Garden Project

VINTAGE BLACON COMMUNITY GARDEN
Vintage Blacon has secured Big Lottery funding to build a Community Garden.
The United Reformed Church on Saughall Road has generously allowed Vintage Blacon to use the overgrown garden area at the rear of the Church. This will be developed by 'The Conservation Volunteers' over the summer. They will construct raised beds and hard standing footpaths around each bed to allow access for people with limited mobility. Plans include planting an orchard with heritage variety trees and the creation of a picnic area with a table and bench. All this will provide an educational and recreational resource for local groups and individuals.
